West Village Taquito Spot Is A Best Cheap Eat: List
A tiny upstairs MacDougal Street taquitos spot made an Eater NY list of the best affordable eats across the city.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — You wouldn't assume right away that a West Village restaurant would make a list of the 40 best cheap eat restaurants in New York City, but this Tex-Mex place on MacDougal Street did.
TQTO, at 99 MacDougal Street, above the Greenwich Village Comedy Club, was just added to a new edition of Eater NY's list of "40 Inexpensive Dining Destinations," which the foodie site says lists some of the city's best deals when it comes to good eats.
The restaurant, which opened in 2022, is described as a " tiny walk-up space in the hurly burly of MacDougal Street," which "offers a handful of dishes in a Tex-Mex vein."

Eater goes on to describe the spot's specialty of taquitos as "freshly fried and smothered in salsas and cheese."
According to TQTO's website, they offer chicken, steak, veggie and potato taquitos, in addition to other offerings, like tacos, quesadillas, empanadas and elotes.
