Box-Cutter Wielding Intruder Threatens Speonk Resident: Police
The intruder is facing a felony charge after threatening the resident one morning, police say.
SPEONK, NY — A Coram man was arrested after he entered a Speonk home earlier this month and threatened the resident with a box cutter, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, on October 5 at about 11 a.m., a 911 call came in about a man who had entered the residence unlawfully, wielding the box cutter.
When police arrived, the intruder, who was known to the resident, had fled, police said.

Southampton Town Police detectives continued the investigation and on Saturday, arrested Bernard Colletti, 42, police said. He was charged with first-degree burglary, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, police said.
He was held overnight at Southampton Town police headquarters and arraigned the following morning, police said.
