Cops: Driver Held on $10k Bail After Driving Under Influence of Drugs

Quogue Village police report two drunken driving related arrests this week.

The following information was supplied by the Quogue Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Jonathan Hodgdon, 21, of Mastic Beach, is being held on $10,000 bail after police said he drove high on heroin in Quogue on June 29. Police said they pulled him over for speeding and another traffic infraction on Quogue Street at about 5:30 a.m., but that he appeared to be inebriated. Needles and baggies of heroin were found in his pockets, police said. He was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, also a misdemeanor.

• Regina Grier, 49, of Bellport, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, on June 39 at about 3 a.m. Police pulled her over on Montauk Highway for traffic infractions, including speeding and unsafely changing lanes. Police said she appeared intoxicated, and they reportedly found a small quantity of marijuana in her purse. Her arraignment information was not immediately available.
