Cops: Friday Night Shooting Was 'Just Kids'
Police said the shooting report was unsubstantiated.
A report of shots fired near Hamilton Avenue in Westhampton on Friday night turned out to be just a bunch of kids in a parking lot, according to Southampton Town police.
At about 10 p.m on Friday night, gunshots were allegedly fired in Westhampton and someone was reportedly shot.
Police went on a hunt to locate the victim, and according to police chatter on the scanner, pulled over black vehicle. However, police said it was quickly determined that the incident was a false alarm.
