Diver Captures Stingray on Video in Hampton Bays
The large stingray is native to the Atlantic Ocean.
Chris Paparo, a diver, recently posted a video of a stingray swimming on the bottom of the ocean near the Ponquogue Bridge in Hampton Bays, which is a popular spot among area divers.
The large roughtail stingray, which is a bottom dweller, is native to the area. According to various internet websites, roughtail stingrays can grow up to 8 feet long and weigh up to 660 pounds.
