Don't Miss It: 3rd Annual Scrabble 'FUN' Raiser

If you love Scrabble or playing Words with Friends, the Hampton Bays Middle School Scrabble Team said you will want to mark their third annual Scrabble 'Fun' Raiser on your calendar.

This year's event, which is open to the community and students in fourth grade or higher, is scheduled for April 7 at noon at the Hampton Bays Elementary School. All funds will help defray the costs of the scrabble team attending this year's national scrabble tournament in Washington, D.C.

The April 7 event will feature three 45-minute games as a team of two. Teams can be made up of students, parents, or a parent-student team. Those unable to find a partner will be matched up on the day of the event.

Cost to pre-register for the contest is $15 per person or $30 a team. At the door cost is $20 per person and $40 per team. And be sure to bring extra cash, for a $1 or $1, you will be able to buy a vowel, sneak a peek at the word list or get a tip.

The event will also feature a soup/salad/sandwich lunch.
