Event: Relay For Life Aims to Raise Money to Fight Cancer
The event will be held June 1 from noon to midnight at the Center Moriches High School.

Relay for Life of Center Moriches and the surrounding area is set to hold its 12th annual Relay for Life event on June 1 from noon to midnight at the Center Moriches High School.
The event, according to coordinators, will help raise money for the American Cancer Society and as of May 16, the 56 Center Moriches teams, totaling 337 participants, have already raised $56,008 with more sponsorships coming in daily.
The relay for life event itself, said coordinators, is a celebration of survivorship, as well as a way to remember loved ones lost to cancer. It features an opening ceremony followed by a survivor's luncheon, a relay idol finalists' competition, a Ms. Relay contest, a candle lighting ceremony, and other fundraising events — all to benefit the American Cancer Society
All are welcome to enjoy the day's events and those looking to participate or donate to the relay can still sign up by clicking here.
