Man Charged With Felony DWI After Hampton Bays Crash: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — An East Quogue man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash in Hampton Bays Tuesday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the single-car crash took place at 8:14 p.m. when Jefersson Soyossuret, 22, careened off the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Officers determined that Soyossuret was intoxicated by alcohol; he was placed under arrest and brought to police headquarters in Hampton Bays, where he was processed, charged with felony DWI, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
