The Town of Southampton has hired a firm to help create a plan toward becoming carbon neutral. Crate & Barrel will be opening in Riverhead soon.

1. RiverheadLOCAL reports that three Bay Shore women have been charged with petit larceny for removing merchandise from the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Tanger Outlets on Sunday afternoon. One of the women is also facing a weapons charge. (RiverheadLOCAL)
2. Southampton Town awarded a contract to a Danish consulting and engineering firm to create a plan for the town to become carbon neutral by 2040. Southampton's goal is also to provide electricity needs from renewable sources by 2025. (Subscription: Newsday)
