Southampton Cops: DWI Charge Follows Car Crash

• Seth Chaikin, 34, of Westhampton, was arrested on March 27 and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, a traffic infraction.
According to police, he was driving northbound on Ponquogue Avenue around 12:15 a.m. without one headlight working. Police said he also failed to maintain his lane of travel, was stopped and upon investigation, found to be intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that he had crashed his car into a tree and street sign a few roads away.

• Alfredo Ajcuc, 33, of Hampton Bays, was arrested on a felony charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, as well as a misdemeanor DWI charge. According to police reports, he was observed driving over the curb on Canoe Place Road while heading toward Montauk Highway. He was pulled over and reportedly performed poorly on all field sobriety tests.
