Southampton Police Log: Man Caught With Child Pornography

Also this week, a man was caught with ziplock bags filled with cocaine.

Arrests by Southampton Town police west of the Shinnecock Canal during the week of June 10 to June 17:

Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child

• William Haley, 54, of East Quogue, was charged with a felony count of possession of child pornography, on June 14 after an investigation. He was arrested on Montauk Highway in East Quogue.

Underage Drinking

• While investigating a noise complaint on North Quarter Road in Westhampton on June 8, police said they found 18 minors* drinking alcohol in the residence. They were all issued appearance tickets and due in court on June 26.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Police charged Leighanne Lorusso, 49, of Calverton with DWI, a misdemeanor, on June 14 after they pulled her over while she was leaving the Hess Station on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays. Police further charged Lorusso with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, after they found that she had prescription medications without a prescription, according to the arrest report.

• Jesus Mendoza, 21, of East Hampton, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on June 16, after police said he was involved in a car crash on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.  

• Marcia Brower, 52, of East Quogue was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on June 10, after police said she left the scene of an accident on Josiah Foster Path. Police said they found her pulling into her driveway on Lewis Road. She was further charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, a misdemeanor. Police said she also refused a breath screening test.

• Police charged Anton Borkes, 49, of Flanders, with DWI, a misdemeanor, after they pulled him over on June 15 on Montauk Highway in Southampton for failing to maintain his lane, according to an arrest report. Police said he was also driving without a license.

• John Larry, 41, of Shirley, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on June 16 after police pulled him over for failing to maintain his lane on Good Ground Road in Hampton Bays, according to an arrest report.

Disorderly Conduct

• A 23-year-old Shirley man was charged with three violations for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment, after a fight broke out at 36 Dune Road in Hampton Bays. Police said the Shirley man became disorderly when they asked him for his ID.

Grand Larceny

• Alexandra Maslin, 21, of Mastic, was arrested on a felony charge of grand larceny in the fourth degree on June 10 after police said she took a wallet and used a credit card from that wallet to buy various items.

Drugs

• Earnest Cirruzzo, 29, of Water Mill was charged with two felony and one misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was pulled over on Lighthouse Road in Hampton Bays on June 16 for having no plate lamp, according to an arrest report. Police said they found several Ziplock bags in his pocket and in his rear passenger seat that were filled with cocaine. Police said Cirruzzo did not have a driver’s license and also had a suspended registration.

• Gabriele Narvaez, 23, of Southampton, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Narvaez was in the rear seat of a car they pulled over on Lighthouse Road in Hampton Bays on June 16. Police said they found cocaine in Narvaez’s cellphone case.
