What Our Readers Think: New Plans for Westhampton Beach Bowling Alley
A round-up of reader's comments.

Last Thursday, Patch reported that new plans are in the works for the former bowling alley on Sunset Avenue in Westhampton Beach.
The plans submitted by Sunset West, LLC, call for the 20,000-square foot building to be transformed with a large indoor corridor with skylights that will lead to two wet stores, eight retail shops, two offices and the 50-seat restaurant.

Victoria Kingwell wrote, "WHB really needs some family-friendly year-round entertainment. This isn't it."
b added, "What we need is a bowling alley!"
Peggy said, "This not the best use of land space! I'm surprised the village is moving forward with allowing this."
janine wrote, "I have a great idea! How about a bowling alley? A place where families can go year round to have fun!"
ML responded, "There's a great new bowling alley in Riverhead so go there with your family. WHB cannot sustain a business like that. I don't get it with all the empty store fronts in town already-I just hope the restaurant is great with fresh food, tavern like where you can go for brunch, sports but also feel like it's a nice ambience and upscale. A real nice pub would be great since the Patio is so expensive and the owners there are not friendly at all."
Jenny said, "Need a movie theater or a bowling alley. Dead space and no need for more shops. The ones we have are failing."
