In the football team's final regular season home game, West Islip outscored Commack 31-7 in the second half on its way to a 46-20 win. The Lions went 4-0 at home this season. Quarterback Anthony Santo had another big day with four touchdowns — three passing and one rushing — with Ryan Wieczorek the recipient of two of Santo's TD tosses. Junior Nick Aponte chipped in with three touchdowns — one receiving and two interception returns. West Islip (6-1) closes out the regular season Saturday on the road against Northport.
