This is the third time this year Louis has run for the seat Public Advocate Jumaane Williams left vacant. He was also overwhelmingly re-elected Tuesday night.

Louis was first named acting City Council member in May when she won a special election against Williams' pick and former outreach director, Monique Chandler-Waterman.
