14-Year-Old Stole Woman's Car And Cane: Police
According to the police, the boy hit the woman with her own cane.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 14-year-old boy was accused robbery and assault and was charged with juvenile delinquency.
The Yorktown Police Department said the teen would have been charged, if he’d been an adult, with second-degree robbery, a felony, second-degree assault, a felony, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Police said, around 2 a.m. Saturday, officers were sent to a Yorktown residence for a report of a domestic dispute.

After an investigation, police said the teen took the victim’s car without consent. The teen also forcibly stole the victim’s walking cane and then struck her with the cane injuring the woman.
The teen was contacted and responded to police headquarters Wednesday where he was placed under arrest.

He was arraigned by a judge who issued a temporary order of protection and set bail at $10,000, $15,000 secured bond or $20,000 partly secured bond.
The teenager was sent to Woodfield Cottage in lieu of bail and was ordered to return to the Youth Portion of Westchester County Family Court July 20.
