18-Year-Old Charged with DWI, Cops Bust Drinking Party, Teen Injures Family Members

18-Year-Old Accused of Drunk Driving, Crashes Car
An 18-year-old Yorktown male faces a number of criminal charges after he allegedly drove drunk and then got into a car accident, police said.
The teen, whose name police did not release, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; as well as the traffic infractions of speeding, failure to keep right and having an open alcohol container in his vehicle and not having a vehicle inspection.

On June 9 at about 2:07 a.m. police said the teen was involved in a minor injury auto accident on Croton Lake Road. The defendant was placed under arrest and processed at police headquarters.
He was released to a third party and scheduled to appear in court on July 10.

Teen Provides Alcohol to Other Underage Youths
A 17-year-old Yorktown teen is accused of providing alcoholic beverages to several youths under the age of 21 while at the residence on June 7, police said.
The defendant, whose name police did not release, was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was charged with second degree criminal nuisance, a misdemeanor.
The teen was later released on to a parent and scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
Teen Allegedly Damages Lamp, Throws Items Around Home
A 13-year-old Yorktown boy was charged with juvenile delinquency on June 8 when police responded to a domestic dispute on Sunfish Landing.
Police said it was reported that the teen was out of control. Investigation revealed the 13-year-old bot had allegedly damaged a lamp and threw items around his residence. He was placed under arrest and transported to Woodfield Cottage Juvenile Detention Facility. The teen was scheduled to appear in the Westchester Department of Probation on June 11.
Teen Injures Two Family Members
A 16-year-old Yorktown boy is accused of allegedly pushing one family member into another, causing physical injury to both.
The teen, whose name police did not release, was charged with two counts of assault, a misdemeanor.
During the domestic dispute, one victim sustained a laceration to her lip and the other sustained a contusion and lacerations to her eye. Both victims were treated at the Hudson Valley Hospital for their injuries.
The defendant was released to another family member and was scheduled to return to Yorktown Town Court on June 14.
Teen Refuses to Leave Property, Curses Officer
An 18-year-old Cortlandt Manor teen is accused of "taking a fighting stance" toward a police officer and cursing him, Yorktown police said.
The teen, whose name police did not release, was charged with disorderly conduct, a violation. Police said on June 9 the defendant was asked by police to leave the property of the Yorktown firehouse after a special event, organized there, ended at 11 p.m. The teen allegedly refused.
He was arrested and later released to a family member after posting $100 bail. The Cortlandt manor resident was scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
Man Violates Order of Protection
A 42-year-old Peekskill man is accused of being at on June 8 in violation of an order of protection given out by the Westchester Family Court, said.
Jose Tenasaca was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Police said the order of protection prevents him from being at the schools of his children.
The defendant voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on June 12 when he was arrested. He was released on $250 cash bail and scheduled to appear in court on June 19.
Dog Runs at Large
Police said a 44-year-old Mohegan Lake man has violated a Yorktown town code for allegedly allowing his dog to run at large.
A Lexington Avenue resident told police on June 6 that a dog was at large on their property. Animal control officer Waterhouse responded to the home and observed a brindle colored, Staffordshire Terrier mix dog, on the property.
The owner of that dog was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge in court on July 3.
Failure to Appear in Court
A 37-year-old Beacon woman is accused of failing to appear in court for arraignment on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation and suspended registration, both unclassified misdemeanors and operating with no insurance, a traffic violation.
Police issued the arrest warrant on May 24 after Christine Peterson allegedly failed to appear in court. She voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on June 7 where she was placed under arrest.
The woman was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
Suspended License and Expired Inspection
A 23-year-old Putnam Valley man was arrested for allegedly operating his vehicle with a suspended driver's license, police said.
Parke Oleary, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor and the traffic infraction of expired inspection. Police said his driver's license was suspended for allegedly failing to pay a fine.
Oleary was released and scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
