2 Cortlandt Residents Face Drug Charges, More In Yorktown: PD

YORKTOWN, NY — Two Cortlandt Manor residents were accused of having illegal drugs after being stopped for a traffic violation.

The Yorktown Police Department said Bryana Sampson, 31, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged Friday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors, and multiple traffic violations.

Roland Brickhouse, 34, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Police said, around 3:45 p.m. Friday, an officer on patrol said he saw a vehicle that failed to keep right.

A traffic stop was conducted and Sampson was identified as the driver and Brickhouse as the passenger, police said.

An investigation found that they were each in possession of cocaine and heroin.

Brickhouse also had an active warrant for his arrest from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, police said.

The pair was placed under arrest and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Sampson was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket and released on her own recognizance.

Brickhouse was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and bail was set, which was paid. He was then transferred to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety for the bench warrant and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 3.
