2 NYC Men Accused Of Having Fake Driver's Licenses, Cocaine

Yorktown police initially pulled their car over for some erratic driving.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two New York City men were accused of having illegal drugs during a traffic stop and several fake driver’s licenses.

The Yorktown Police Department said Dun Wei Chen, 33, of Staten Island, and Wenbin Zhou, 29, of Brooklyn, were arrested Aug. 21 after police said they saw them in a car moving from its lane unsafely and almost side-swiping another vehicle.

An investigation found that Chen, who was the driver, was in possession of seven forged Texas driver’s licenses, police said, and Zhou, who was the passenger, was in possession of six forged Texas driver’s licenses.

Police said both men had cocaine in their possessions.

They were placed under arrest and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Chen was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seven counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, felonies, and moved from lane unsafely, a traffic infraction.

Zhou was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and six counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, felonies.

After processing, Chen was issued a traffic ticket and both men were arraigned on the charges.

They were released on their own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Sept. 19.
