Albany Man Steals Cases Of Red Bull From Grocery Store: Police
Police said the use of physical force bumped the charge from a larceny to a robbery.

YORKTOWN, NY — A man from Albany was arrested after being accused of stealing energy drinks from a Yorktown grocery store.
The Yorktown Police Department said officers were sent to the ACME grocery store in the Triangle Shopping Center Wednesday for a report of the theft of several cases of Red Bull energy drinks.
Officers interviewed a store employee who said the person who took the Red Bull used physical force to steal the merchandise.

Police said that elevated the theft from larceny to robbery.
On Thursday, Yorktown officers, along with the Westchester County Department of Probation, found Alexander R. Hoy, 34, of Albany on Lakeview Drive in Somers shortly after noon.

He was taken into custody and brought back to the Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was charged with third-degree robbery, a felony.
Hoy was later arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of bail.
He is scheduled to appear back in court Sept. 5.
