Auditions for Yorktown Talent Show; Somers Lions Club Carnival; Roadside Clean Up
Here are five things you need to know today, April 9.

1. Yorktown Talent Showcase – Audition Today
The Alliance for Safe Kids is hosting its second annual ASK 4 Talent Showcase on Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. If you are interested in auditioning, auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 9 (4-7pm) and Thursday April 11 (4-7pm).
2. Somers Lions Club Carnival

The carnival will be held from April 24 to April 28 at the Somers Firemen's Field on Route 202. The rides open Wednesday through Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. Parking and admission is free.
3. Town Board Work Session Tonight

4. Somers Roadside Clean Up
Help the town of Somers celebrate World Circus Day (April 20) andEarth Day (April 22) with their Annual Roadside and Neighborhood Clean-Up
Roadside litter. Free orange trash bags and gloves available after April 1 at the following locations:
- Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy's office
- Somers Library (click here for hours)
5. Free Cone Day
