More than six years after business owner Tom DeChiaro purchased in Mohegan Lake, he has received a zone change, which will allow him to operate without having to apply for a special use permit every three years. Read more on the story .
3. Yoga Mega-Event to Celebrate Solstice

Mark your calendars! A yoga mega-event will celebrate the solstice and bring yoga practitioners from all over the region to White Plains after work on June 20.
A giant master class for everyone from beginner to experienced practitioner will be led by celebrity yoga teacher Gwen Lawrence. All ages are welcome to attend. In addition to the master class, the event will also feature live music, healthy food and displays. to read more.
4. State Troopers Issue Thousands of Tickets Through Click It or Ticket Campaign
New York State Troopers issued 1125 tickets for violations of the state’s mandatory seatbelt laws during the May 21 – June 3 “click it or ticket” enforcement effort. During the zero tolerance enforcement campaign, troopers joined with local police and sheriffs’ departments statewide to encourage seatbelt use in advance of the summer travel season.
In addition to the 1125 safety restraint tickets issued by members of Troop K, troopers arrested 60 people for driving while intoxicated and ticketed 899 drivers for speeding.
5. Congratulate Your Grad on Patch
