Cops: Driver Going Wrong Way in Yorktown Charged with DWI
The man, a Mohegan Lake resident, was arrested for drunk driving after police said he was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on Route 202.

A 47-year-old Mohegan Lake man has been charged with drunk driving, Yorktown police said.
Police stopped Romen Petrov's vehicle on Route 202 for traveling in the wrong lane. The man was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on March 23 at about 3:17 a.m., police said.
Investigation revealed the man was driving while intoxicated and his Arizona driver’s license had expired. In addition, he refused to submit to a pre-breath screening test, police said.

Petrov was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; refusal to submit to pre-breath test, traffic infraction; unlicensed operator, a traffic infraction; and failure to keep right, traffic infraction.
Petrov was released on $200 bail and was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on April 23.
