Cops: Yorktown Man, 33, Arrested for Choking Girlfriend in Front of Children

Police said the man allegedly choked his live-in girlfriend in front of several young children.

A 33-year-old Yorktown man is facing several charges for allegedly choking his live-in girlfriend in front of several young children, Yorktown police said. 

David Serviss was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, misdemeanors.

Police said they responded to a report of disturbance at Underhill Apartments on April 21. Serviss was arrested, processed at police headquarters and released on $500 cash bail.

He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on April 25 at 6 p.m.
