Two Yorktown residents are due in court next week to answer drug possession charges, police said.
Police stopped their vehicle on Route 6 for a New York State vehicle and traffic law violation on May 10. That's when police revealed John Boggia, 25, of Yorktown Heights; and Elaine Curry, 24, of Shrub Oak, were in possession of heroin.
Boggia and Curry were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
They were processed, released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on June 13.
