Cops: Yorktown Man Drove Under Influence of Alcohol, Drugs

A 22-year-old Yorktown man is facing a drunken driving charge in Yorktown following a car accident on Hanover Street, Yorktown police said. 

Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on May 19 at about 2:48 a.m. Investigation revealed Dennis K. Weiss Jr. was driving while intoxicated and had failed to maintain his travel lane. In addition, police said his intoxication was a combination of alcohol and drugs. 

Weiss Jr. was charged with driving while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated alcohol and drug combination, both misdemeanors. He was also charged with failure to maintain lane, a traffic offense. 

The man was released to a friend and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on June 20.
