A 13-year-old Yorktown teen was charged with juvenile delinquency for stealing an iPhone and several other accessories from the locker of a female student, Yorktown police said.
Mildred E. Strang Middle School resource officer Brian Mundy was assigned to investigate the case last month after the 12-year-old female student reported the stolen property from her locker. The items were valued at $344.99, police said.
The boy was found to be in possession of the iPhone and charged with juvenile delinquency, police said. Had he been an adult, he would have been charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.
