Cops: Yorktown Woman Who Crashed Car Was Under Influence of Drugs, Alcohol

The 46-year-old woman is facing a number of charges including using a cell phone and driving with a suspended driver's license.

A 46-year-old Yorktown woman, who crashed her car Saturday night, faces a number of criminal charges for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, Yorktown police said. 

Patricia A. Pfeifer was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and driving while ability impaired by combination of drugs and alcohol, both misdemeanor charges. Pfeifer was additionally ticketed for using a cell phone while driving, a traffic violation. 

Police said a passing motorist reported a one-vehicle personal injury accident on Old Crompond Road on April 13 at about 11:02 p.m.

Pfeifer was using a cell phone when her vehicle ran off the roadway into ditch, police said. The woman sustained a minor facial injury, according to a police report. Additionally, police said the woman was driving with a suspended driver's license.

She was released to a family member and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on May 14.
