Cortlandt Manor Man Charged With DWI in Yorktown

Yorktown police who stopped a 32-year-old Cortlandt Manor man because of a defective brake light led them to reveal he had driven drunk, police said.

Daniel J. Acosta was arrested on June 2 and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and defective brake light and no insurance, both traffic infractions.

Acosta's vehicle was stopped on Crompond Road in Yorktown because of a defective brake light, police said. After his arrest, he was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on July 9.
