Cortlandt Manor Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown
Police were initially sent to check out an erratic driver who was on the wrong side of the road.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Cortlandt Manor woman was accused of driving while drunk in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Allysa L. Cioffi, 39, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged Thursday with aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more and driving while intoxicated, misdemeanors.
Police said, shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, officers were sent to Route 134 to investigate an erratic driver traveling on the wrong side of the road.

Officers located the car which was pulled off to the side of the road.
Cioffi was identified as the driver, and she was unresponsive behind the wheel of the car when officers arrived at the scene.

Further investigation found she was driving while intoxicated by alcohol.
Cioffi was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
At headquarters, it was determined she was operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.
After being processed on the charge, Cioffi was released on her own recognizance to a responsible party.
She is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court April 11.
