Court Date Postponed; 'School to Watch;' Camp Registration Begins

1. Assemblyman Katz Court Date Postponed
Assemblyman Steve Katz (R-C, Mohegan Lake)'s court appearance on March 28 to answer charges of speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana has been postponed to April 28.
2. Amalia Connolly, Library Media Specialist at Mohansic School, Passes Away

Our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Amalia Connolly. The woman worked as the library media specialist at Mohansic School in Yorktown. She passed away on March 22.
3. Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School is 'School to Watch'

Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School has once again been honored as a National 'Schools To Watch' school. LCBMS, which was first honored in 2010, was recently re-designated as a School to Watch in this prestigious program. They are one of only four New York State schools to be re-designated this year. Registration for the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department's programs begins today. You can register your child for pre-school, half day, full day and specialty camps. The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
