Deadline For Paying 1st Half Of Somers School Taxes Imminent
There are several ways to pay, including in person, online, mail or leaving it in the drop box.

SOMERS, NY — The town of Somers is reminding residents the first half of the 2023-24 school tax bill is due by Sept. 30.
The last day to pay in person is Monday, Oct. 2, town officials said.

- In Person: If you would like to pay in person or are paying with cash, please come to Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, to do so.
- Online through the Town of Somers website: We accept ACH and Credit Card payments through our online website. Please follow this link and make your payments from home.
- Online Bill Pay through your Bank: Many banks offer online bill pay. You can pay your taxes this way by initiating the bank to mail a check in for your taxes. Just make sure it is made out to Michele McKearney, Receiver of Taxes, include your bill number and address in the memo portion of the check and mail in time to be received by Oct. 30.
- Optional Drop Box: There is a drop box outside the side door of the Town Hall. Drop-box hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please make sure to include your phone number and indicate if you would like a receipt mailed to you once processed.
- Mail: When using the post office, please make sure that your payment is postmarked by Oct. 2. If paying on the last day please have the post office hand stamp your envelope.
