Dutchess Man Steals Sports Memorabilia From Mall: Police
Police said they were looking for the man when he returned to the store.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of stealing sports memorabilia from a store in the Jefferson Valley Mall.
The Yorktown Police Department said David Gladstein, 46, of Pleasant Valley, was charged Friday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Police said, shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, a report of a past larceny from BG Autographs in the Jefferson Valley Mall was received.

An officer met with store management and conducted an investigation.
Police said that Gladstein had removed a variety of sports memorabilia from the store on Oct. 23 without attempting to pay for any of it.

Later Friday evening, Yorktown police received a call from BG Autographs saying that Gladstein was in the store.
Officers responded and placed him under arrest. He was taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
Gladstein was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 16.
