Florida Man, Bronx Woman Accused Of Having A Stolen Car

Police also said the man's license to drive in New York had been suspended.

YORKTOWN, NY — A report of a car on the Taconic State Parkway that was used during a crime in New York City led to two people being accused of having stolen property.

The Yorktown Police Department said Keith L. Collazo, 42, of Wellington, Florida, was arrested Saturday and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor.

Also arrested was Eloise Aponte, 59, of Bronx. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Police said, shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, Yorktown police received a report of a stolen car traveling north on the Taconic that had been used during a crime that was committed in New York City.

Officers located the car and performed a traffic stop.

Collazo and Aponte were identified as the occupants and were detained, as requested by the New York Police Department.

During an investigation at the scene, a Yorktown officer determined that Collazo’s driving privileges were suspended in New York.

The pair was taken back to the Yorktown Police Department where they were processed on the charges.

They were arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail.

They are due back in Yorktown Justice Court Tuesday.
