
A 50-year-old Jefferson Valley woman has been charged with drunken driving after police located her in a parking lot, Yorktown police said.
Police received a report on Oct. 11 at around 11:48 a.m. that a woman, who was in an intoxicated state, was attempting to leave the area in a vehicle. Police were dispatched to the area on Lee Road, and based on a vehicle description located the woman in a parking lot.
The woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and charged with a DWI, a misdemeanor.
She was released to a family member and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 14.
