Lakeland HS Grad Named Tennis Rookie of the Week

Deanna Tozzo, a Lakeland High School graduate, was named Tennis Rookie of the Week by the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC).

The Shrub Oak native is a freshman at The College of New Rochelle. Tozzo made an instant impact during her first collegiate competition, defeating Sarah Lawrence College’s #1 Singles player, a junior, 10-3 in the Blue Angels’ season opener. Sarah Lawrence was the HVWAC Championship runners-up last season.
