Local Residents 'Relieved' Boston Marathon Bomber is Caught
With the capture of the suspect, Westchester residents are sympathetic to Boston-area residents and said they are "glad" and "relieved" the man was taken into custody.

The Boston Marathon bombings and the manhunt for the two men hit home for Dolores Apollonio, a Tarrytown resident.
Her daughter, who works in downtown Boston and lives in Dartmouth, was under a lockdown order as police searched the area for the suspects.
"I was a nervous wreck," the woman said and added her daughter checked in with her to tell her she was home and safe.

Dartmouth was also the town where the surviving bomb suspect Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, was enrolled in college. His older brother, identified as Tamerlan Tsarnaev, died early Friday morning after post-midnight gunfight.
Police took custody of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Friday night following a firefight and stand-off in a Watertown backyard. A resident had reported a man crawled into a boat and police and SWAT officers moved in on the location. About a dozen shots were fired in the vicinity.

"I am glad they caught him," Apollonio said. "I think we all suffered."
Tarrytown resident Alston Lipscomb said she was relieved the man was caught.
"I hope that we can learn from this and hopefully we can all come together and get a gun and violence reform," she said.
Allison Gilbert, author of several books who speaks about grief and recovery from loss, said after hearing the news the suspect was caught many people would want to celebrate and move on. Yet, the nation shouldn't forget the families who lost a loved one or the people whose lives are forever changed after losing a limb.
"For those families who lost loved ones or those who are grieving the loss of their limbs, there is no moving on," she said.
She commended the law enforcement officers and said it was "incredible" what they were able to accomplish.
Tarrytown resident Julie Vinci said she too was relieved the suspects were caught, but there are many unanswered questions.
"It's so crazy that they would become radicalized because it seems like they had all the opportunities like everyone else who grew up here," she said.
