Tony Raio, a Mahopac resident, who was a contestant on “Wheel of Fortune” on June 7, has won $36,880 in cash and prizes, including a new car and a trip to the Dominican Republic.
Raio was competing during “Dad’s Week.” With Father’s Day just around the corner, “Wheel” honored dads with the special theme week in which all contestants are fathers.
Raio is married with three children and works as an emcee for a local D.J. company. In his free time he performs as a ventriloquist and a singer. He is a huge fan of “Wheel” and has been watching the show for more than 20 years.
He said hopes to use his winnings to take trips and “have fun!” Raio tried out to be a contestant in New York City.
