Mohegan Lake Man Accused Of Drunken Driving
Police said they initially received a report of an erratically driven car.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Mohegan Lake man was accused of being drunk after being stopped for erratic driving.
The Yorktown Police Department said Kevin Patrick McKenna, 61, of Mohegan Lake, was arrested and charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and fail to stop at stop sign and no seatbelt, traffic infractions.
Police said, around 7:20 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of motor vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Lee Boulevard and Route 6.

An officer located the car in the area of Route 6 and Mill Street.
A traffic stop was initiated on Cooper Street and McKenna was identified as the driver.

The investigation at the scene found he was driving while intoxicated.
McKenna was placed under arrest and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing, where he refused to submit to a chemical test.
Following processing, he was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party.
McKenna is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 12.
