Mohegan Lake Man Arrested for Drug Possession

A 44-year-old Mohegan Lake man was due in court last week to answer charges of being in possession of marijuana and cocaine, Yorktown police said.
Christopher C. Rigano was arrested on Oct. 5 at about 1:58 p.m. and was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Police said they observed a person who was acting "suspiciously while operating a black Suzuki." After police stopped his vehicle at the intersection of Mohegan Avenue and Dale Street, Rigano was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and cocaine, police said.

He was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters.
Rigano was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $1,500 bail and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 11.
