Mohegan Lake's 14-year-old Gabrielle Sansone participated in The Peekskill Rotary Club's Horse Show over the weekend where she earned ribbons and a Western Halter prize for first, second and two fourth places in the classes she competed in.

In addition, Sansone volunteered to help lead one of the riders in the therapeutic division.
"It was a beautiful day to spend out doors," her mother Deborah Sansone said.
Sansone, a freshman at Lakeland High School who is keeping herself busy with plays and auctions for musicals and TV pilots, practiced riding the course with her horse Opal early Saturday morning after arriving at the barn at 7 a.m.
"Wether it's a Broadway show or a horse show lots of training, preparation, practice and focus are the discipline needed to deliver a great show," Gabrielle's mother said.
