Mount Kisco Man Accused Of Sexual Abuse In Yorktown

The man voluntarily surrendered and was placed under arrest, authorities said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mount Kisco man was accused of sexually abusing someone in the town of Yorktown.

The Yorktown Police Department said they received a report Sept. 13 from the Westchester County Police Department of a possible instance of sexual abuse.

Following an investigation, police said that Mateo Arteaga, 38, of Mount Kisco, sexually abused the victim.

He voluntarily surrendered Tuesday and was placed under arrest.

Following processing, Arteaga was arraigned, and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

He was sent to the Westchester County Jail and then turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.

Arteaga is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 3.
