Mount Kisco Man Faces Felony Drunk Driving Charges In HV
Officers were initially sent to check out a report about an erratic driver.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Mount Kisco man is facing two felony charges after he was accused of operating a motor vehicle while drunk.
The Yorktown Police Department said Roberto Castellon Lopez, 45, of Mount Kisco, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated, one prior conviction, a felony; aggravated driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content 0.18 percent or more, one prior conviction, a felony, and operating a vehicle without an interlock device, a misdemeanor.
Police said, around 10:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of an erratic driver on Route 202 who was swerving over the double yellow lines. The driver also failed to stop at a red light and then drove onto Commerce Street where he parked in a parking lot, according to authorities.

Lopez was identified as the driver, and an investigation at the scene found he was driving while intoxicated by alcohol and without a required ignition interlock device installed in his car, police said.
He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

After additional investigation, police said it was determined Lopez had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.
Lopez was issued a traffic ticket and an appearance ticket after which he was released to a responsible adult.
He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 10.
