2. Lakeland School Budget Adopted

Lakeland school board members adopted last week the $160 million budget. The budget "maintains programs, staffing and, at the same time, also improves instructional services to our schools," Superintendent Dr. George Stone said.

3. Somers Town Tax Bill

The 2013 Somers town and county tax bills will be in the mail by April 1, 2013.
This tax bill is due in full by April 30, 2013. Residents can call the Office of the Receiver of Taxes if you did not get a bill by April 5, 2013 at 914-277-3610.

4. Somers PTA Council Fundraiser

From Somers PTA Council: Need a break from cooking? Please join us on Tuesday, April 9 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chili's in Baldwin Place. Present the attached voucher and the Somers PTA will receive back 10 percent of sales.

5. College Courses for Visiting Students

Maymester at Mercy College is a two-and-a-half week term (May 6-21) that will offer visiting students of all ages the opportunity to engage in intensive academic courses to earn undergraduate or graduate credit. Classes will be offered at the Dobbs Ferry campus on the Hudson River, Yorktown Heights campus and online. To register, visit the college's website or call 1-877-MERCY-GO. More information is available at www.mercy.edu/maymester.
