NYC Man Drives Stolen Car While License Suspended: Police

Police also said the stolen car didn't have an installed interlock device.

YORKTOWN, NY — A New York City man was accused Tuesday of driving a stolen car while his license was suspended.

The Yorktown Police Department said Emanuel Marks, 56, of New York, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and using other vehicle without an interlock device, misdemeanors.

Police said, on Tuesday, an officer on routing patrol heard an alert about a stolen vehicle going north on the Taconic State Parkway.

The officer located the vehicle and stopped it with the help of another officer.

During the investigation, Marks was identified as the driver, and the car was confirmed to have been stolen out of Queens.

The officers determined his license was suspended and he was driving the car without an interlock device, police said.

Marks was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

He was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail.

Marks is due back in court March 31.
