Ossining Man Accused Of Felony DWI In Yorktown
Police were initially sent to check out an erratic driver.
YORKTOWN, NY — An Ossining man faces two felony charges after he was accused of driving while drunk in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Klever Cabrera Jara, 43, of Ossining, was charged with driving while intoxicated, previous conviction prior 10 years and aggravated driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content 0.18 percent or more, conviction prior 10 years, felonies, use vehicle without interlock device, a misdemeanor, and unlicensed operator, a traffic infraction.
Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, officers were sent to check out a report of described erratic operator on Saw Mill River Road, police said.

The vehicle was located and an investigation was begun.
It was determined, police said, that Jara was driving while intoxicated and without an interlock device. He also did not have a valid driver’s license.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
Further investigation found he had a previous conviction for DWI within the past 10 years, as well as having a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.
Jara was issued traffic tickets for the charges and released on his own recognizance to the care of a responsible adult.
He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 25.
