1. Peanut Butter Recall Expands to More Brands

Last month's Trader Joe's peanut butter recall now includes Target, Walmart, others. The recall list includes several well-known brands and a variety of peanut butter products as well as almond butter, cashew butter, tahini, and roasted blanched peanut products. Read more about it here.

2. Free Swim Lessons in Somers

New York Sports Club in Somers is offering free swim lessons the week of Oct. 15 to Oct. 21. Call 914.628.5600 to reserve your preferred day and time for next week's free swim classes. Registration required to ensure instructor ratios and safety.

3. School District Vote on BOCES Capital Project 

Tuesday was the deadline for 18 school districts in the Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES consortium to vote on a $16.9 million project to redesign its therapy pools and replace HVAC units, roofs and fire alarm systems in the BOCES buildings. Check back with Patch for more on the story.
