Peekskill Man Faces Felony Impaired Driving Charge: Police
Officers were originally called to check out an erratic driver.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Peekskill man was accused of driving under the influence of drugs in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Ronald M. Ferraro, 25, of Peekskill, was charged Friday with felony driving while ability impaired by drugs, previous conviction within 10 years, and failed to keep right and failed to use a turn signal, traffic infractions.
Police said, around 3:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a call about an erratic driver on Valleyview Street in the area of Strawberry Road.

When they arrived, Ferraro was identified as the driver who had failed to keep right or use a turn signal.
An investigation at the scene found he was driving while ability impaired by drugs and had a prior conviction for impaired driving in the town of Cortlandt.

Ferraro was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.
He was issued traffic tickets for the charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult.
Ferraro is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court March 21.
