Summer is quickly coming to an end, but the Yorktown and Somers area provides photographers with great opportunities to capture its beauty.
Last week, we published this picture of the Croton Reservoir, captured by Liz Giegerich. We asked you to submit your own pictures so we could share them on Patch with your neighbors.
Local photographer Lina Bastone submitted the above picture which was taken at the Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown.
"I was on my usual walk/jog when I saw these nice couple sitting on the bench just relaxing by the sunset," she told Patch. "I had to stop since I always have my camera with me. I asked the couple if they minded...They were very happy about my asking."
