Police Blotter: Pot Dealers Busted by Undercover Cops, Two Drivers Charged with DWI, Armed Man Robs a Shoe Store
A round up of police activity from July 9- July 15: pot dealers, stolen bracelets, man beats up a woman, Driving While Intoxicated arrests, identity thefts, armed man robs a shoe store.

July 9
9:45 a.m. Police arrested Andrew M. Eidelson, 19, of Yorktown, and charged him with two counts of criminal sale of marijuana and two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana. While conducting an undercover drug investigation on November 18 and 20, 2009, officers allegedly bought marijuana from the defendant at various locations in Yorktown. After continuing the investigation, Andrew Eidelson was identified as the suspect. He was contacted and voluntarily appeared at the Yorktown Police headquarters where he was arrested. He is due in court on August 10.
5:55 p.m. Police arrested Wayne Everett, 62, of Yorktown, for aggravated unlicensed operation and suspended registration, misdemeanors; and the traffic infractions of unregistered and uninsured vehicle. Officer Michael Madaus was on patrol on Rt. 202 in a vehicle equipped with the ELSAG license plate reader, when the plate "hit" on license plates that were allegedly suspended. Officer Madaus conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Everett. A DMV check showed the license plates were suspended for insurance laps and his driver's license allegedly had lapsed insurance. In addition, Everett could not provide proof of insurance and the vehicle was not registered. After processing the man was released on $100 cash bail. He is due in court on August 10.

7:35 p.m. Police arrested Mara N. Rabinowitz, 36, of Somers, and charged her with petit larceny, misdemeanor. Sears security personnel alleged she left the store without paying for several bracelets valued at $30.94. Officer Ken Sgroi was assigned to investigate and he ultimately arrested the woman for alleged larceny. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 10.
July 1011:50 a.m. Police arrested Edward F. Fleck, 44, of Mohegan Lake, on a charge of third degree attempted assault, misdemeanor. Officer Bobker was assigned to investigate a check on the welfare complaint, originating from a 911 call. Following an investigation, it is alleged that Fleck attempted to cause physical injury to the victim by forcibly grabbing the victim, throwing her into her bed and then repeatedly punching her in the head. He was arrested at the scene and transported to YPD for processing.

3:35 p.m. Police arrested Patricia A. Gomez, 69, of the Bronx, and charged her with petit larceny, misdemeanor. At approximately 3:17 p.m. police was dispatched to the Sears store at the Jefferson Valley mall where Gomez allegedly left the store without paying for assorted merchandise valued at $74.92. Officer William Olli was assigned to investigate and ultimately arrested the woman. She was processed at the Yorktown Police Department and released on $250 cash bail. She is due in court on August 17.
5:00 p.m. Police arrested Renee Wray, 42, of Yorktown, and charged her with allegedly allowing her dog to run at large, a violation of town code. A Barberry Road resident reported that while walking on the roadway, a black dog ran at large frightening the resident. Wray was issued an appearance ticket at the YPD and was processed at the department. She is due back in court on August 3.
5:13 p.m. Police arrested Timothy J. Lynch, 27, of Scarsdale, on the charges of aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and traffic violations of uninsured vehicle, having only one break lamp and possessing two valid drivers licenses. Officer Madaus was on patrol on Rt. 202 in a vehicle equipped with the ELSAG license plate reader, when the plate "hit" on license plates that were allegedly suspended. PO Madaus conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Lynch. A DMV check showed the license plates were suspended for insurance laps. In addition, he could not provide proof of insurance, and the car displayed only one lamp. Lynch was arrested and taken to YPD for processing. He was released on $200 cash bail and is due in court on August 10.
6:00 p.m. Yorktown police report the arrest of an 18-yeard-old Jefferson Valley resident whose name is withheld due to possible youthful offender status, and charged her with allegedly allowing her dog to run at large, which is a town code violation. At approximately 12:40 p.m. a call was received from a motorist traveling on East Main Street in Jefferson Valley, who reported a dog running at large. Animal control officer Waterhouse was dispatched to the location ad impounded the dog. Subsequent investigation led to the issuance of an appearance ticket to the youth. The youth was processed at her residency and is scheduled to appear in court on August 3.
2:03 a.m. Police arrested Jelena Pepdjonovic, 26, of Croton on Hudson, who is charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, both unclassified misdemeanors. Additionally, Pepdjonovic was charged with failure to keep right and driving with headlamps not illuminated, both traffic infractions. According to police, PO Kenneth Sgroi observed the woman drove on Commerce Street over the double yellow line and didn't have the headlamps illuminated. After a traffic stop she was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. The woman was processed and released on her own recognizance to a third party and it due in court on August 10.
11:42 p.m. Police arrested 61-year-old Peter M. Cursio of 31 F Esses Place, of Yorktown Heights, on the following charged- Driving While Intoxicated, class "E" felony, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 percent or more, class "E" felony and an un-inspected motor vehicle, a traffic infraction. At approximately 11:26 p.m. officer Paniccia was dispatched to Essex Place on the report of a property damage automobile accident. An investigation at the scene determined that an automobile accident did not occur, but allegedly Peter Cursio was operating a vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and the vehicle had an expired NYS inspection. He was placed under arrest and transported to the YPD for processing. Following a chemical test, it was determined he was driving with a BAC of .08 percent or more. The DWI and operating with a BAC of .08 percent or more was elevated to a felony because it's alleged that Cursio has a prior conviction for operating with a BAC of 0.08 percent or more within the last 10 years.
July 128:29 a.m. A good Samaritan brought a wallet to the Yorktown police headquarter. The wallet was found at New City Diner, 3825 Crompond Road.
9:20 a.m. Police received a call that a disorderly pedestrian was blocking the entrance of the parking lot at Tom Thumb Nursery, 1951 East Main Street every day. Officer Donald Peters responded. The situation was under control.
10:46 a.m. Police responded to a call at Holyoke Road about a sick or injured raccoon in the backyard of the residency. Police officers Anthony Dipietrano and John Hassett responded to the call. The animal was gone upon police arrival.
12:23 p.m. BOCES reported a missing 10-year-old female from Copper Beech Middle School day camp, at 3417 Old Yorktown Road. She was located prior to officer dispatch.
12:59 p.m. A resident of Old Yorktown Road reports "slashed" tires.
3:45 p.m. Police responded to a call from the BJs Wholesale Club, 3303 Crompond Road, about a head injury. The person was transported to the Hudson Valley Hospital via Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
3:49 p.m. Police officers William Griggs and Justin Foley responded to a call about harassment at Yorktown High School about a possible criminal contempt. The two 16-year-old twins sisters had behavioral issues. There was a family dispute in violation of a criminal order of protection.
4:04 p.m. A Jennifer Court resident reported an unauthorized use of bank account.
4:16 p.m. A Chen Court resident reported someone used her credit card fraudulently.
4:20 p.m. A Casey Court resident reported identity theft.
5:11 p.m. Police responded to a call at Nabby Hill Day Camp about a loose dog on the property. Allegedly the dog jumped in the pool. Police officer Brian Mundy patrolled the area, but the animal was gone upon arrival.
July 131:16 a.m. A Sand Piper Court resident reported having suicidal thoughts. The subject was transported to a psychiatric unit.
6:31 a.m. A walker reported to police that youths were "tearing up" the Gazebo at the Jack Devito Memorial Park, 300 Veterans Road. Police officers John Hasset and Paul Dillon responded to the scene and reported that the Gazebo is fine and no one was vandalizing it.
9:39 a.m. Police received a call about a baby locked inside a vehicle at the Post Office on 2020 Maple Hill Street. Yorktown Auto Body was dispatched and the condition was corrected. The mother had inadvertently locked the car along with the keys inside.
12:39 p.m. Police received a report about Styrofoam sheets all over the roadway at the Winery at Saint George, 1715 East Main Street. The State Department of Transportation (TMC) was notified. Someone had bought the Styrofoam sheets and attached them to the car, but since the person did not secure them well, they went all over the road, police said.
1:13 p.m. A White Birch Drive resident reported check fraud. The victim complained that someone had made an electronic payment of $143.29, which was taken from her account for a purchase somewhere in New York State.
3:09 p.m. Police received a report about a green liquid flowing into storm drain at Club Fit, 600 Bank Road. It was determined the green fluid was runoff from the clay tennis courts.
5:27 p.m. Police received a report of aggravated harassment. An Underhill Avenue resident reported 11-year-old daughter was "cyber bullied" via Facebook. Someone posted mean things about her.
7:03 p.m. Police received a call about a larceny from a motor vehicle at the Solaris Sports Club on 201 Veterans Road. A young girl went inside the gym to work out, but left her pocketbook inside her car. When she returned, the window was smashed and found that her wallet, social security card, a credit card, and $80 were missing.
July 1410:26 a.m. Police were dispatched to assist another agency at the Payless Shoes store at Cortlandt Town center. An armed man had robbed the store of approximately $400.
12:20 p.m. A Cedar Pond Lane resident reported identity theft. Red flags had been put on her name with different credit card agencies, and when someone attempted to open a credit card in her name, the resident was notified and called police. The incident has been going on for two years and the victim believes an unknown person in Cortlandt, with a similar name, had opened several accounts in her name. It is unknown what type of merchandise the person got a hold of fraudulently.
1:44 p.m. Police received a report of criminal mischief at Pinetree Park, 500 Benjamin Blvd. There was damage to the Harrison Apar Field of Dreams baseball field. There was damage to the field and fence.
July 158:25 a.m. A local businessman turned in a wallet to Yorktown police headquarters. The wallet was lost on Underhill Avenue, where allegedly someone took $300 and dumped it on Commerce Street. The man found it in the parking lot and turned it in to police.
10:12 a.m. Police received a call of a suspicious activity at Baptist Church Road. The person believed there was a bomb, but it turned out it was a tube, which had been used to let off fireworks.
10:52 a.m. Animal complaint at Broad Street of a dog left in a car. The subject was gone upon police arrival.
11:12 a.m. Animal complaint at A&P, 329 Downing Drive of a dog left in a car. The subject was gone upon police arrival.
2:58 p.m. An employee of the Jefferson Valley mall reported he was being harassed. The incident is still under investigation.
