Police: Employee Steals $9,527 From Dunkin' Donuts
Ashley M. Jones stole $9,527 while working at Dunkin' Donuts. Sylvester M. Salzano and Kevin L. Velazquez posses marijuana and a forged driver's license. Pedro Valez beat up a woman causing bruising and swelling on her face.

Police arrested Ashley M. Jones, 23, of Cortlandt Manor, on a charge of grand larceny in the third degree, a class "D" felony.
On June 26, Detective Perrotto was assigned to investigate a larceny that occurred at Dunkin' Donuts, at 1859 East Main Street, Mohegan Lake. Following an investigation, police found that between April 2010 and June 2010, Ashley M. Jones stole $9,527 while working at Dunkin Donuts.
She voluntarily responded to the Yorktown Police Department where she was arrested on the charge on June 30. Following processing, she was arraigned in town court and released after posting $500 cash bail.

She appeared in court on July 6. Her case was adjourned until August 17.

According to police, on June 30 at about 8:30 p.m. officer Noone was on patrol when he saw a vehicle cross a double yellow line. Noone conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Crompond Corners and while conducting an interview, he observed that the driver, Salzano, possessed a small amount quantity of marijuana. Allegedly, the passenger Velasquez also possessed marijuana.
Additionally, Salzano had a NYS driver's license which was forged. The two men were placed under arrest and the car was impounded. Both men were processed and releases on their own recognizance by Judge Lagonia.
POLICE arrested Pedro Valez, 49, of Yorktown, who is charged with third degree assault, a class "A" misdemeanor.
Police received a report that Valez had allegedly struck a female twice in the face, causing bruising and swelling. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed. Valez was arraigned at town court and was ordered a temporary order of protection. He was held on $5,000 bail and appeared in court on July 6.
